What's The Slot Count? How Much Resources Do I Need?

Here at ServerStarter.host we believe selling per slot is an outdated idea that removes transparency, encourages and requires overselling and leaves the end user worse of both financially and in terms of the quality of there game server.

Here your game server has 100% dedicated server resources, this means if you buy a 1 core 10GB server you have 10GB of physical memory and one full thread at your disposal at all times. You pay for only the resources you need and we leave the full power of player limits to you.

So how what resources pack do I actually need?

Well Rust is a Unity based game. Unity core functions are primarily single threaded with only things like networking and ai managment being multicore. This is why are basic pack provides 1 full thread. Now both entity count and plugins will effect the requirements of your server however here is a rough guide on what you need.

100 to 150 player: 1 Thread, 10GB RAM.

150  to 200 plater: 1.5 Thread , 10GB RAM

200 to 250 player: 2 Thread, 10GB RAM

250 to 350 player: 2.5 Thread between 14GB and 16GB RAM

Please note this are very rough estimates and entity count and plugins play a huge role. These are rough estimates for high entity servers that sustain there player base. We can always upgrade or downgrade your package at any time.
